I know I need to speak right now

And tell you how I feel

And ask your help to show me how

To live a life that’s true and real

But asking help from anyone

Is the hardest thing for me

But now I know if it were done

Your love and trust would set me free

So tell me how to find the way

To save my fractured soul

And help me to succeed today

To lose this fear and reach my goal

Please help me…

Trapped in the dead zone

Romance is trapped in the dead zone

Buried feelings are hiding inside

We’d rather live our lives alone

In here there is no need to hide

It’s sad to think of what we miss

Trapped behind these crumbling walls

Where feelings that were ‘in the kiss’

Lay cold and sleeping in the halls

Suggestions of romantic things

Fall silent on long-deaf ears

Our memories new trauma brings

Reliving doubts and fuelling fears

It seems that now it is too late

To fix those long-past deeds

To nurture love instead of hate

Or satisfy our smouldering needs
